Lotus and remembering

Today is Dia de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead. It's a remembrance day for our passed loved ones. My grandfather passed away on my birthday a few weeks ago. He is now with my Mother, Grandmother and Oldest Uncle. His service is scheduled for tomorrow. I'm not feeling as sad as with my mother's passing because I feel he's rejoined his family. It was also expected, as he was suffering from Alzheimer's. To me, it's a reunion, a happy event.

Okay, on to other things:

The pattern for the Lotus flower. I was tempted to do a video and put it on Facebook, but the pattern is so straightforward. I may still do it but not today. As with my normal permissions: You may sell the finished product but not the pattern itself. Please respect this, my fellow tatters.

I have a temp job I had to go to today. I'm still in externship with my school, as I have about three weeks left before I graduate. This job is more experience to reach my graduate qualifications, but it nice to get paid. Guess what I plan to do with the little extra cash? Yup, gonna buy more crafting supplies.

  1. Thank you for the pattern and you have a wonderful peaceful look towards grandfather and others who have passed, the day of the day is a nice holiday🕊️

  2. Thank you for sharing the pattern to your Lotus design. I've always loved single-shuttle work, and your lotus is a new approach in creating 3D work. Good luck with your final three weeks and the graduation.
